Speech-Language Pathologist

Meagan Buttle is a registered Speech-Language Pathologist who works in the GTA, Kitchener-Waterloo and surrounding areas. She provides services to individuals of all ages with a variety of needs, including those with acquired brain injury, voice disorders, and cognitive communication disorders.

Meagan obtained her Masters of Applied Science from McGill University in Speech-Language Pathology, and previously graduated with an Honours Bachelor of Arts in Applied Linguistics from Brock University. Meagan is a member in good standing with the College of Audiologists and Speech-Language Pathologists of Ontario (CASLPO), and a member of the Ontario Association of Speech-Language Pathologists & Audiologists (OSLA). She holds her national certification with Speech-Language and Audiology Canada (SAC) and is a member of the Ontario Rehab Alliance (ORA).

Meagan has a passion for providing functional, community based cognitive-communication assessments, treatment and consultations to individuals with acquired brain injury. She is a member of OSLA’s Acquired Brain Injury Interest Group; sits on the Board of Directors for the Brain Injury Association of Peel and Halton (BIAPH) as Director and Secretary, and chairs the BIAPH Survivor and Caregiver Support Group Committee.

Meagan is committed to providing education and resources to survivors, caregivers, and rehabilitation colleagues; and has presented at various support groups, workshops and conferences. She believes strongly in multi-disciplinary collaboration and working together with clients, family members and other team members to provide support and achieve success.

Sarah Bago

Speech-Language Pathologist

Sarah Bago is a registered Speech-Language Pathologist who works in Guelph,  Kitchener-Waterloo, Halton Hills and surrounding areas. She provides services to adolescents and adults with a variety of needs, including those with acquired brain injury, voice disorders, aphasia, and cognitive communication disorders.
 

Sarah obtained her Masters of Clinical Science from the University of Western Ontario (2010) in Speech-Language Pathology, and previously graduated with an Honours Bachelor of Arts in Applied Linguistics from Brock University (2008). Sarah is a member in good standing with the College of Audiologists and Speech-Language Pathologists of Ontario (CASLPO). She also holds her national certification with Speech-Language and Audiology Canada (SAC).

Over the past ten years, Sarah has worked closely with brain injury survivors (both stroke and traumatic brain injury) to develop her expertise in providing functional assessment and treatment to individuals who require help with community re-integration and return to daily activities or work.  She had a passion for helping survivors achieve their goals; big or small.  
Sarah is committed to providing education and resources to survivors and caregivers. She believes strongly in multi-disciplinary collaboration and working together with clients, family members and other team members to provide support and achieve success.

Tarah Jefferies

Speech-Language Pathologist

Tarah Jefferies is a registered Speech-Language Pathologist who works in London, Kitchener-Waterloo and surrounding areas. She works with individuals of all ages with a variety of needs, including acquired brain injury, voice disorders, swallowing difficulties, aphasia, cognitive communication disorders and speech and language difficulties.

Tarah obtained her Master of Clinical Science in Speech-Language Pathology and a Master of Arts in French linguistics at the University of Western Ontario, after having completed an Honours Bachelor of Arts in French, Spanish and Business Administration at Wilfrid Laurier University. Tarah is a member in good standing with the College of Audiologists and Speech-Language Pathologists (CASLPO) and a member of Speech-Language and Audiology Canada (SAC).

Before starting her career in Speech-Language Pathology, Tarah worked in the field of adult language education as an Assistant Professor at Duksung Women’s University and Hansung University in Seoul, South Korea. Her ability to make students feel comfortable and confident in the language-learning environment led to her receiving the “Best Professor” award and honours at Hansung University, as decided by student evaluations. Tarah has also spent nearly a decade living abroad in various countries, resulting in a strongly developed cultural competence and understanding.

Tarah has a passion for language and communication and is committed to providing functional therapy services that provide clients with an individualized and personal path towards recovery. She embraces a multi-disciplinary approach, collaborating with other health care professionals, the client requiring services as well as with their caregivers. Tarah is able to offer services in English, French and Spanish.
